Photo/Video Documentation

When I started this blog, I decided to start documenting the masculinizing effects of testosterone therapy through photo and video documentation. I knew that changes may take several months to be noticeable, and would continue to develop over a period of years.

According to Hudson's Guide, over time, the ongoing administration of testosterone will result in the development of masculine secondary sex characteristics. The following visible masculinizing effects can be expected:
  • Thickening of the vocal chords and deepening of the voice
  • Facial hair growth (mustache and/or beard growth)
  • Increased body hair growth (notably on arms, legs, chest, belly, and back)
  • Increased body musculature
  • Cessation of menses (monthly periods)
  • Potential hair loss at the temples and crown of the head
  • Migration of body fat to a more masculine pattern
  • Increased activity of the skin's oil glands
  • Skin may become rougher in feeling and/or appearance.

I also had top surgery on August 11, 2011. Dr. Cori Agarwall performed a complete double incision mastectomy with nipple/areolar grafting. For educational purposes, Dr. Agarwall agreed to photo document the operation and the photos are provided below. Please note that those photos are extremely graphic.
